Methods: Crude ethanol extracts from 12 Philippine medicinal plants were evaluated for
their antibacterial activity against methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus,
vancomycin-resistant Enterococcus, extended spectrum b-lactamase-producing,
carbapenem-resistant Enterobacteriaceae and metallo-b-lactamase-producing Pseudomonas
aeruginosa and Acinetobacter baumannii.
