According to the Adult Treatment Panel III criteria, subjects
with a total cholesterol concentration of 240 mg/dl or greater
were considered to have high total cholesterol levels, and those
with a concentration of 200 to 239 mg/dl were considered to
have above-optimal/high cholesterol levels. Body mass index
(BMI) was calculated as weight (kg) divided by the square of
height (m2). According to the World Health Organization
criteria, we classified subjects as normal weight (BMIb25),
overweight (25≦BMIb30), and obese (BMI≧30).
