I was one of those customers who pre-ordered this book. It was released on May, 26th and then I got it delivered on June, 5th. I was pretty excited because I've already attended several USMLE-related lectures by one of the authors (Dr. Dasgupta) of this book.
It includes 62 real clinical cases followed by discussions of them with the use of question-like approach (best initial tests, most accurate, as well as therapeutic management). Moreover, each case is accompanied by many illustrations both from real patients as well as some diagrams and pictures for basic knowledge review. This book is full of USMLE Step-like "pearls" which are integrated into post-case discussions.
I think one of the most valuable things about this book is the fact that around 44 physicians have contributed to writing all these cases and discussions which basically means that a multidisciplinary approach has been implemented.
And by the way the size of the book allows you to fit it in the side pocket of your lab coat.
