2.7. Physical chemical characteristics of the water
Physical and chemical properties were determined at a water depth of 50e
100 cm at the three sampling sites in February, May, August and December 2009.
Temperature, pH, salinity and dissolved oxygen (DO) were determined on site,
using a multi parameter ion specific meter (Hanna instruments, version HI9828),
the field equipment being checked and calibrated according to the manufacturers’
specifications
