Environmental hazards in the studied area This work focused on three factors soil salinity, soil sodicity
and water erosion, to assess the environmental hazards of the studied area. The hazards of salinity and
sodicity which lead to adverse conditions that affect the growth of most crops were evaluated and classified
depending on their salinity and sodicity degree Water erosion was assessed using RUSLE equation in a
raster GIS environment for the calculation of specific factors and annual soil loss of the investigated area.
