During the era of globalization, the medical science greatly advanced, to a certain extent, has yielded a great benefit to a married couple who have a difficulty giving birth to a child. This medical solution is called surrogate motherhood- A women who agrees to carry a fetus of someone else by using the assistance of reproductive technology(Family Formation, 2015). Some individuals, especially the spouses, believe this is the best way to help them have their offspring without offending the law. Nevertheless, in my viewpoint, surrogate mother should not be allowed by all means as it , at least, infringes the ethics, especially in Thai society.
One of the most important reasons to prohibit or disallow the surrogate motherhood is that it is against the rule of ethics. Even though surrogate motherhood is allowed to use the egg and sperms of a married couple, it is obvious that this act immorally takes advantage of human body. Besides, encouraging surrogate motherhood is equivalent to supporting the work for carrying a baby of other mothers, which is totally immoral, like the case of human- trafficking. In addition, if the baby is born before the time, due to uncaring of that surrogate mother, all of the adverse effects will lay on that baby and the whole society.
