There are numerous studies assessing the achievement
of quality indicators for diabetes care in various healthcare
settings [1,14-17]. However, little is known about
the characteristics of diabetes patients associated with
the quality indicators. Information on patient factors
associated with the quality of diabetes care can be helpful
to improve the quality of diabetic care. Therefore, we
aimed to examine patient factors associated with preventive
care services for diabetic complications and
diabetes-related clinical outcomes in Korean adults with
diabetes. To our knowledge, this is the first study to determine
patient factors related to quality of diabetes care
in Korea.
