Microwave assistedsynthesisofcoppertungstate(CuWO4) nanopowderhasbeendeveloped.SynthesizedCuWO4 nanopowder was
systematically characterizedbyX-raydiffractionspectroscopy(XRD)andhighresolutionscanningelectronmicroscopy(HR-SEM).TheXRD
pattern revealedtheformationoforthorhombicandanorthicphasefortheas-preparedandcalcinedpowders,respectively.Theaverageparticle
sizes ofca.19.3and44.0nmwereestimatedusingtheScherrerequationforCu-WO3 and microwaveirradiatedpowdersamples,respectively.
The HR-SEMobservationshowedthemorphologicalhomogeneitywithanaggregateofverysmallsphericalandrodshapedparticles.
Nanocomposite films ontoglassycarbonelectrodehavebeenfabricatedusingCuWO4 nanopowder. Theelectrochemicalbehaviorofthe
nanocomposite film electrodeshasbeeninvestigatedusingelectrochemicalimpedancespectroscopyandcyclicvoltammetrytechniques.The
maximum specific capacitanceof77Fg1 was achievedfortheCuWO4 nanopowder.
