In operation, the level in the casting discharge is held at constant height. The
corresponding pressure is applied to the boiler inside space for this purpose. The less iron
there is in the furnace, the higher pressure in the boiler is driven.
So that the pressure control works securely, the lines from the pressure control to the
furnace boiler, in particular, with operation with magnesium-treated iron, are to be checked
regularly for free flow-through.
