Samples (250 ll) were transferred into 1 mm long quartzcells and maintained at 25 C. After subtracting the solvent spectrum,
the raw CD ellipticity was converted to mean molar ellipticity
(degcm2dmol1): [h] = hobs MRW/(10 C L); where, hobs is
the measured ellipticity in degrees, MRW is the mean residue
weight, C is the concentration of protein in mg/ml and L is the path
length in cm (Sundd, Kundu, Dubey, & Jagannadham, 2004). The
protein concentrations of samples were measured by Kjeldahl
analysis.
