3.1. Hypotheses testing
Hypothesis 1a and b predicted that challenge-related stress
will be positively related to employee creativity while hindrancerelated
stress will be negatively related to employee creativity. As
predicted, results show that challenge-related stress was positively
related to creativity (Table 2, ˇ = .28, p < .01; Table 3, ˇ = .26, p < .01)
and hindrance-related stress was negatively related to employee
creativity (Table 2, ˇ =−.22, p < .01; Table 3, ˇ =−.23, p < .01). Therefore,
Hypothesis 1a and b were supported.
