MMPP first established in 1975 is
one of EGAT’s power plants generating electricity under
the supervision of Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC) in accordance with National Energy Policy Council Act (No.2) B.E. 2550. At present, MMPP consists of 10 units
with the total installed capacity of 2,400 Megawatt-hour (MW) generating approximately 18,000 Gigawatt-hour
(GWh) of electricity with 16 million tons of lignite consumption per year. All this electrical energy is distributed
to EGAT transmission system.
