These are portraits of my friends taken during a 5 minute exposure. They were asked to think of something that matter to them during the duration. Through this intense quiet process, they have unselfishly shared with me a part of them. I believe the existence of a soul and, maybe, by using minutes and time to measure them, we may have explored a new way to understand this supposingly invisible subject. Personally, I feel that they each have given me 5 minutes of their soul
The series speaks of guilt caused by my selfish absence from my family for the past eleven years. I chose to further pursue my career far away from them. Many times I have been asked if I will return, my answer is a simple 'I can't'
