You trudged slowly through the halls of Maijima high, exhausted from your first week. You didn't expect to be questioned so much by the other students--especially the boys. You did make a few friends though: Chihiro, Elsie and Ayumi were all very kind to you. But you couldn't get that one boy, Keima, out of your head. How he looked at Elsie so meanly. You knew Elsie was annoying at times, you could tell even though you just met her that she was a handful, and Katsuragi was her brother. Still, her hair clip spazzing out was not her fault.
"I wonder what it meant," you said aloud.
You listened to your feet click through the empty halls. You felt something grabbed your shoulder. You yelped, startled by the touch. You turned around to see Chihiro's smiling face.
"God Chihiro-chan! Why do you keep doing that?" You shouted, a little louder than intended.
Chihiro smirked,
"I came to ask you if you'd like to hang out with Ayumi, Elsie and I after my band practice,"
You regained composure and nodded your head,
"Yeah, sure. When's band practice over?"
"Five-ish,"
You looked at your watch. 3:38. You looked back at Chihiro and said,
"I'll just stay on the campus then, I'm sure I'll find something to do...."
Chihiro grinned widely,
"Great! Ayumi knows this great sushi place! See ya there (Y/N)!"
You watched Chihiro run into some unmarked room happily.
For a while you just stood there, not knowing what to do. Chihiro was a very....abrupt person. She liked everything to be straightforward.
You turned around and started walking in the general direction of what you thought to be the roof.
Now what to do for the next hour and a half.....
~~~~~~the wonderfulness of skipping time~~~~~~
As you walked up the linoleum staircase that led to the roof, you thought about what you were going to do. Why exactly were you going to the roof? No clue. Maybe you wanted to get a good look of Maijima city from up high.
When you made it to the top you immediately felt the cool autumn breeze. You shivered. It was warm when you got here this morning, you wondered when it got so cold.
You walked over the the side of the roof and looked at the magnificent view of the city. Majima really was a pretty city. You sighed. You felt so calm, but then....
Click. Click. Click.
You turned to where the sound was coming from. And lying down on the bench was none other than Katsuragi Keima. He stood up and walked over to you. He turned off his PFP and looked at you.
"How do you like Maijima?"
You weren't expecting him to be asking you that.
"Yeah, sure..." You were nervous. You never liked to be alone with boys, and you weren't particularly fond of Keima. Your mind flashed back to when he pointed at you. Something was off about Keima, and it made you uneasy.
"Good. I see you've taken a liking to Chihiro, (Y/N)-chan. I think she's far to normal,"
You couldn't believe he just said that! You may have just met Chihiro today, but she was defininitely not your average girl.
"She's far more interesting than you. All you do is play video games! There's nothing interesting about you!" You blurted out, people can't just say that!
Keima chuckled and put on a smirk.
"C'mon, she's too normal to be friends with you, (Y/N). Now you have an interesting sto-"
Smack!
Keima looked at you, shocked. Wait, did you just slap him? You did. You put your head down and felt the anger course through you. You hated Keima, that's all there is to it. He's an awful person.
"So your not only rude, your also a stalker, Otamega. Just stop talking to me." You pushed Keima to the side ad walked towards the exit.
~~~~~~wonderfulness of skipping time~~~~~~
"That was great Chihiro-chan! Thanks for inviting me!"
You smiled at Chihiro, you couldn't believe a person like Keima could make fun if a girl like Chihiro. She was so kind and positive.
You, Chihiro, Ayumi and Elsie walked out of the sushi bar, chattering on about school gossip when you saw him. Keima. That bastard, he has no right to make fun of people, or judge them.
Oh, so badly you wanted to smack him. You were about to when you noticed a purple haired girl standing next to him.
"Haqua!!!" You heard Elsie squeal with joy as she hugged the purple haired girl. Elsie detached herself from her and introduced you.
"Haqua! This is (Y/N)-chan, she just moved here from (H/T)!"
You bowed towards the purple haired girl apparently named Haqua.
"Pleased to meet you, I'm Haqua. I'm Keima and Elsie's half sister,"
Keima? Why does everyone have to be related to Keima? You mentally face palmed yourself. You said your goodbyes to everyone and headed home.
The night air was cool against your skin. You shivered and thought about that bastard Keima. You wanted to get back at him for being so rude to everyone. But what could you do? You could prank him somehow. No, you needed to punish him with something he loves more than himself. Yes you knew exactly what you were going to do.
You were so deep in thought you didn't realize that you wandered into some neighborhood until you feel the freezing rain of your face. You shook your head. You didn't bring your umbrella! Your house could be miles away!
Eventually you decided to just wait the rain out. You found a place under a tree and sat on the curb. You knew that it was going to be a long wait.....
~~~~~~wonderfulness of skipping time~~~~~~
You awoke lying on the curb soaked to the bone. You were freezing. You attempted to stand up, but ended up retching all over the sidewalk. You attempted to move again but you felt like you were going to spill out your guts again so resolved to lying back down.
You tried to think of a way out of this situation, but saw no way. You sat and hoped someone would see you.
Click. Click. Click.
Oh no. Out of all the people to notice you.....
"(Y/N)-chan? Is that you?" You heard the voice of Katsuragi Keima call to you. He ran over. He put his hand on your forehead.
"(Y/A)! Your burning up!" Keima stood up and he ran into a nearby house. He came out with Elsie and that other girl, Haqua. They ran over and picked you and brought you inside.
"Is she gonna be okay, Kami-Nii-sama?" Elsie asked with worry in her voice.
"I think she'll be fine," said Keima he turned his attention to you, "(Y/N), do you live alone?" You managed to nod your head, though immediately you knew what he was going to say.
"(Y/N) your staying with us until you recover," Keima said in a kind tone. Keima then told Elsie to get some of her clothes to let you change into.
You tried to protest, but you knew you couldn't be alone this sick. Before you went slipped back into the dream world you manage to mutter a 'thank you'. Well, at least this weekend wouldn't be boring.
