Assemble a portfolio and learning journal using the seven (7) Reflective Journal questions. Every week you will be given one of these seven questions that guide your reflection, focusing on the topics that have been covered that week. When answering these questions, your journal should also consider the following:
1. How your own personal and professional communication develops over the 10 weeks, both during in-class activities and your normal daily activities
2. Your understanding of each of the theoretical topics covered in BCT202 Business Communication and how you can relate these concepts to your development as a hospitality & tourism industry professional
3. Record areas where you have made progress and developments in improving your communication skills. Provide evidence of your solutions and examples of your accomplishments.
4. Answers to in-class worksheets and exercises
5. Provide evidence of a reference list (if appropriate)
6. The clarity of your written communication.
Whilst the general style should be as a report, there is no specific format for this portfolio. Students are encouraged to use a personal and creative approach which reflects their individual communication strengths unless worksheets and exercises state otherwise.
* Any examples used in this portfolio must be anonymous – individual or organisation names are NOT to be used.
