This research aimed to study the Graduate Students’ motivation to study in master’s
degree level at Phranakhon Rajabhat University and to compare the motivation of the aforesaid
students, who were different by their demographics. The research is a survey research.
The samples of this thesis were 186 graduate students at Phranakhon Rajabhat University year
2007 and 2008.The data research tool for collection of data was a questionnaire. The analytical
methods employed during this research were to produce, percentage, mean, standard deviation,
t-test, F-test or One-Way variation, and tested of bi-difference average values by LSD.
The results of this research found that;
1. Graduate students of Phranakhon Rajabhat University had the high level of
motivation to study in master’s degree level. When considering each graduate students’
demographics, personal basis factors it was found that it was at high level in all Aspects, i.e.
personal reasons, career, social and economic aspect, and quality of institute, respectively.
2. It was also found that the difference of demographics, i.e. different age, career and
income had resulted in the graduate students’ motivation with a statistically significant difference
of 0.05, wherease the graduate students who were different in sex, status and program of study,
had no statistically significant difference.
