Connecting grammar to meaning is more productive and
appealing than teaching grammatical forms as isolated,
abstract concepts. It is only with continued practice and
attention that children learn to use the correct language
forms. “It is natural for children to make mistakes and
acquire grammatical forms only partially at first” (Pinter
2006, 85). The activities presented in this article are a selection
of those used by EFL educators to teach grammatical
forms interactively and eectively in primary classrooms
and will help children monitor, check, and revise their
language production.
