Update ~ DMAI & CDME Board (formerly CDME Reinvention Task Force)
A lot has happened since the beginning of 2015! With a renewed commitment from DMAI, its volunteer leadership and membership, the original Task Force has transitioned to a Board as oversight for the CDME program, now and into the future. We appreciate everyone’s support as ongoing revisions are made with a new launch of the CDME program at the 2017 Annual Convention.
Below are helpful updates as we move through the CDME program redesign together!
CDME Graduates / Recredentialing (Every three years)
As the existing CDME Program is in transition, the 3-year requirement is on hold. A new directive will be provided in late 2016 for 2017 activation. Once activated, to maintain the CDME credential, graduates must attend the annual CDME Alumni Summit or complete either a follow-up course or learning “project,” to keep one’s knowledge and skills current.
Active CDME Program Participants
For active program participants who started the CDME program in 2012 or earlier, we urge you to complete all required and elective courses to ensure graduation in 2016. Action Timeline for 2016 CDME Graduation
For active program participants who started the CDME program in 2012 or later, please continue with completing required and elective courses to prepare for graduation in 2017 and 2018. Please note that you will transfer into any newly designed CDME program as we transition the program.
New CDME Applicants
During the CDME program redesign, we will accept new applicants. This step will be completed via an interim application with the understanding that new applicants will finalize a second, more detailed application, once all the CDME program components, policies, procedures, etc. are confirmed.
