Heat shock treatment at 96 hpi, decreased embryo development (P < 0.05; Table 2). Additionally,
there was a breed of bull×treatment and breed of cow×treatment interaction for blastocyst rates
(P < 0.05; Table 3), i.e., both breed of bull and breed of cow affected the decline in blastocyst rate
caused by heat shock treatment. Therewas no significant interaction for hatched blastocyst rates, only
the main effects of the three factors (temperature, breed of bull and cow) were significant.
