An experiment was conducted on date palm cultivar with application of ethephon to assess quality parameters of fruits. Better size and weight of fruits were observed in cultivar Halawy. The maximum T. S. S., ascorbic acid and sugars (total, reducing and non-reducing) and less acidity were observed in cultivar Halawy than the other cultivars. Iron and calcium contents were higher in Zahidi and magnesium in Khadrawy but phosphorus and chlorophyll were observed higher in Halawy. The application of 1000 ppm ethephon significantly increased T.S.S., ascorbic acid, sugar and decreased per cent acidity and chlorophyll contents. But it had no effect on calcium, magnesium, iron and phosphorus contents by spray of ethephon
