answering common questions of kris’ suit by a paralegal student
Like many people I’m confused as to what is going on with Kris and his law suit. Does he want to leave SM and thus EXO? Does he just want to change his contract? What’s going on? Why is his team so quiet? What about ot11? I hope to answer these questions from my own research. Please keep in mind this is from MY research. I did my best to try to find everything but there’s always a guarantee you might have missed something. I don’t think I have but if you see something I did miss or think should be included please let me know.
What is the purpose of this post?
Over this weekend I took time to go and look at HanGeng and JYJ’s cases respectfully. Yes, Kris’ case is different but in law there is the concept of stare decisis. South Korea has it too as does China. The proof for that will be below. I know I am curious about what is going on with Kris and his contract issue. Why is he and his attorney so quiet? Is it unusual? Were the previous cases quiet whether from the plaintiff’s or defendant? I took many hours this weekend to try to find out and hopes maybe we can get some answers from the past with the present. Keep in mind just because it happened in the past doesn’t mean it will happen now but the past can maybe help.
What Is a Paralegal?
The first thing is to establish who I am. I am a paralegal student. What is a paralegal? People seem to know the term but not the definition. I often get confused for being a law student in the sense of training to be an attorney. I am not. My passion is research and law. As a paralegal student I have been trained how to do legal research and how to write legal documents whether they be about contracts or memo’s or letters or forms. If it’s a legal document I know how to write it. I know how to research the law and how to apply it to a case.
