Bangkok's skyline was brightly lit last night thanks to the grand opening of MahaNakhon, Thailand's tallest building.
The "MahaNakhon Bangkok Rising the Night of Light" light show drew a large number of spectators across the City of Angels.
US pop star Pharrel Williams was also seen in Bangkok. His "Williams Family Kitchen", opened in coperation with Dean & Deluca, is part of the building.
MahaNakhon is a luxury mixed-use 77-floor skyscraper on the business district of Sathorn Road. With the height of 314.2 metres, it is now Thailand’s tallest building.
Pace Development, a listed developer, aims to turn this building into a new Bangkok landmark with contemporary architecture and urban design. MahaNakhon houses multiple levels of restaurants, cafes and marketplace; luxury The Ritz-Carlton Residences, a hotel managed by The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company in a collaboration between Marriott International and renowned hotelier Ian Schrager; and a multi-level roof-top Terrace Bar and observation deck.
