All used chemicals were of a high analytical grade without further
purification throughout the experiments. Uranyl nitrate hexhydrate,
UO2(NO3)2·6H2O was manufactured by Mallinckrodt Company. 1-(2,3,4-
trimethoxybenzyl) piperazine (Trimetazidine), tetramethoxysilane (TMOS)
and diethoxydimethylsilane (DEDMS) were purchased from Sigma–Aldrich
(Saint Louis, USA). All other salts used in this work were purchased from
Alpha Company. Standard stock solutions (1.0×10−3 mol L-1
) of UO2
2+ and
Trimetazidine were prepared by dissolving appropriate amounts of
UO2(NO3)2·6H2O and Trimetazidine in deionized water, respectively.
Deionized water used for all experiments was obtained from Milli-Q
(Millipore Corporation) water purification system.
