Core characteristic of soft power Soft power is ability to influent other countries which make the country that use soft power have opportunity to have greater capabilities to lead other nations. Soft power is related with the country foreign policy. There are many goals of having soft power, but for US the main goal is to preserve its power in the world and to achieve the US national interest. One of the soft power examples is Marshall Plan. The Marshall plan was a program used by United States to help European countries after WWII, Which make the Europe have to pay debt to US. Another kind of US soft power is to make human improvement like making study program.
