Discussion
This study attempted to examine the efficacy of academic educational administration
training programs in a Palestinian developing university from the perspective of those
who graduated from such programs. Although the circumstances under which this
study was conducted (popular uprising, military violence, etc.) posed limitations on the
rigor of its design (e.g. sample size, return rate of questionnaires), it, none the less,
offers a significant contribution to the construction of administrative training theory.
The literature on the efficacy of educational administration programs in newly
emerging or developing educational systems is almost nonexistent. In light of the trend
towards globalization, studies such as this one become of significant importance to the
field.
