Siam Park is the Kiessling family dream. Following from the success of Loro Parque, the Kiesslings wanted to offer people something new and different in the south of the island, a place where families and friends could enjoy a day out. They travelled across the World visiting over 50 top water parks and searching for new ideas to build a brand new theme park with aquatic rides. In 200x they decided on a 185,000m2 land in Costa Adeje and work on the project began.
Construction commenced in 2004 when the first stone was laid and 4 years later the most spectacular theme park with aquatic rides in Europe was built. A remarkable success in engineering and planning by Jose Luis Olcina and Philip Mayfield who were hired by the Loro Parque Company to manage the construction of the project. Paolo Bonanno is the Artistic Director responsible for incredible decoration in the park, right to the smallest detail.
The Kiessling family designed and supervised the constructions throughout the project. The first outline of the park was completed by professor Ruetai, Dean of Architecture at Bangkok University and Mr Olcina and Proslides were the chosen especially by Christoph Kiessling and worked together on hundreds of sketches before the park plan was finalized. Paolo Bonanno travelled to Thailand and Cambodia with Mr Kiessling, here he was inspired by the Thai art and culture and as a result created all the Thai figures and statues in the park.
On the 15th of September 2008, was the official inauguration of Siam Park with guest of honour, S.A.R Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn.
The park offers a diverse choice of attractions, 5 bars and restaurants, a beach and shopping zone. It has been created with a touch of magic and stunning scenery and all completed to the very highest standards. There is something for everyone of all ages, from those seeking a real adrenaline rush, an adventure world for children and those wanting to relax in comfort. Coupled with the great all year round sunshine the island is famous for.
