The amount of ion-exchange resin in the adsorption is critical for the
application of resin in commercial processes. The effect of resin dose
with different adsorption times is shown in Fig. 2. The adsorption percentage
increases with the resin amount, while ion exchange density
decreases. More resin provides greater surface area, but for the same
quantity of target ions, some of the resin remains unsaturated. It is a
waste of resin, so determination of the amount of resin used is needed.
When the resin amount is more than 6ml, the adsorption changes little.
With the increase of adsorption time, more target ions are adsorbed on
the resin.
