Fig. 3 shows the effect of temperature on the conversion at the
methanol/oil ratio of 8:1 in the presence of 0.75 wt% KOH. Increasing the temperatures from 30 C to 50 C, the conversion increased
10–13%. However, if the temperature increased up to 70 C, there
was a slight reduction in the conversion. This is because high temperature enhances both transesterification and saponification
