He believes the differences between human and robots will continue to shink until people think of them as human. Ishiguro is trying to prove this using a robotic twin he has biultt. While most of us may dream of having a robot to do our work for us, Ishiguro has different idae. He think the best use for this twin would be at this mother's home. She lives far away, and he is rarely able to visit her. But if she had a robot, she could spend more time with "him." When asked why his mother would be happy with a robot son, he repiles, "Because it is myself." If robot become enough like people that you can't tell the difference, Ishiguro wonders, "does it really matter if you're interacting with a human or machine?
