The regeneration of the deactivated catalyst by coke burn-off at 5008C in air reduced the effectiveness of the zeolite in the catalytic conversion of lignocellulosic biomass into bio-oil and the further processing to aromatic products. H-ZSM-5 that is activated at 500 8C has predominantly Brønsted acid sites;however, at higher temperatures, Lewis acid sites form,
