We'd like to know what's working and where we can - and must - get better. Our global survey will start on March 23, 2015. We conduct this survey at regular intervals to hear your feedback and get a good picture of where we stand and how far along we are in jointly implementing our strategy.
Why are we asking for your opinion right now - just after the biggest reorganization at Siemens in 25 years? We've all been working in the new structure for several months. A lot has changed. There are sure to be topics and processes where things aren't running smoothly yet. In some parts of the company - for example, in administration - we're reducing the workforce. In other places - such as development, production and sales - we're expanding it, in some cases considerably. There has been - and there is - a lot happening at Siemens. That's why we want to hear your opinion and take your views into account as we continue to develop our company.
You may be wondering: Why should I participate? Will my answers make a difference? Will anything change? And if so, what? I can assure you that your voice will be heard and your opinion will be respected. We're going to be more rigorous than ever before in tackling the issues that require improvement and in holding onto the things that you already consider effective and successful.
No one at Siemens should ever be afraid to openly voice his or her opinion - at any time or on any topic - in surveys like this one or in person. Colleagues and supervisors across all levels of our company must always be open to constructive criticism. Because openness, too, is part of a true ownership culture.
