This year marks the third year of the Mid-Term Plan 3D-II and we have to consider the next mid-term plan. The recent personnel reshuffle including officers was designed to accelerate new business creation in a concerted effort while strengthening our core business, which has been our aim, and also to reinforce our US, MSD and Aerospace & Defense Systems businesses in light of the strengthening of our core business.
This time, Mr. Iguchi, Mr. Sakaki, Mr. Sakamoto and others, who have been working in their divisions long enough to become kind of front men in the industry or representative figures of Daicel, will be transferred. This is a challenge for them, for the Company and even for everyone working under them as well. It’s a challenge and also a change involving a lot of people. Needless to say, we should not change just for the sake of change, but will change other matters. We need to have the courage to change. Let’s follow up our challenges and changes with courage, heart and soul as a companywide initiative. As practiced at our Tokyo and Osaka offices, changing work style means encouraging interaction between people, not shutting the door behind you. It’s a move toward a company where everyone works together as the entire Daicel Group to provide its customers with safe, secure and satisfying products that will solve problems they are facing.
This concludes my remarks about our financial closing. I look forward to continuing working with you.
