Work environment
The employees’ answers of work environment questions differed between the four groups (three educational groups and one control group) both at BASE and FOLLOW UP. When analysing the different occupational groups, the variation in work environment factors were obvious. Noticeable was that the group “cleaning” had reached a significant rise in restricted sitting work posture more than 50% of work time from BASE to FOLLOW UP; 1%–10%. The occupational group “administrators” walked shorter distances than the other groups. CHIEF + WC and WC experienced more “work pleasure” after intervention than CHIEF and CONTROL. CHIEF experienced higher “work demands” than the other groups after intervention as well as the highest “job control”. “Low job control” decreased most in WC which made that no one in that group experienced strain. “Supervisor support” was more evident after intervention in all groups (except in CHIEF who had the highest before intervention) (Table IV).
