Conclusion It was found right after the intervention that there was no difference between the groups, that emotional exhaustion scores decreased with respect to time and that there was no change in depersonalization and personal accomplishment dimensions. Through person-directed interventions applied in the hospital, the level of emotional exhaustion can be reduced. For the determination of the effectiveness of these interventions, it can be recommended that researches should be conducted using other samples and that measures should be taken to prevent sample losses. The fact that burnout decreases after the intervention and increases in the sixth month are important results of the study. Regular repetition of these interventions can extend the effectiveness period. It is recommended that the number of interventional studies aimed at reducing burnout increases and that the outcomes be followed in the long term.
