During this study
period, a total of 10 225 musculoskeletal injuries were

the thigh muscle complex and were grouped into 6 major
categories: quadriceps, hamstrings, adductors, hip flexors,
hip extensors, and short hip rotators. This total number represented
a mean (SD) of 0.42 (0.24) injuries per thousand
hours of training and a mean annual incidence of 0.52
