The study provides a useful cost effective protocol for synthetic seeds-based in vitro conservation and regeneration of good quality,elite, genetically homogenous plants for commercial cultivation ofC. asiatica herb. The in vitro storage conditions for synthetic seeds employed in the present study did not have any negative impact on the biological and chemical stability of the plants in terms of thei rcentellosides content and wound healing potential. The protocol can be utilized for a steady supply and exchange of quality plant material across geographic or seasonal limitations
