Tomato (Lycopercisi esculantum) seeds cv. Pant T-3 were obtained
from SPC, Pantnagar. The seeds were surface sterilized with 2%
sodium hypochlorite for 10 min (Guo et al., 2004), rinsed three
times with autoclaved distilled water. Seeds were sown in sterilized
soil and sand (1:1) mixture in a tray under maintained glasshouse
condition, supplementary light, 40 μE m-2s-1, with a 16/8 h
day/night cycle at 22-28°C and 50% humidity.
