Results
Descriptive characteristics of the participants are presented in Table 1. Results of the three-way ANOVA showed no interaction effects. For the BMI categories, a significant main effect was observed (F = 5.81, eta-squared = .13, p = .005, OP = 0.85). LSD post hoc-analyses revealed significant differences between the nonoverweight and overweight groups (nonoverweight: 977.1 ± 146.6 steps, overweight: 857.6 ± 139.6 steps, 95% Cl = 30.4—208.4, p - .009) and the nonoverweight and obese groups (obese: 887.3 ± 113.0 steps, 95% Cl = 21.4-158,/? = .011).
