Psychoanalysis and psychotherapy are effective treatment for anxiety ,especially when the body and its resources are part of the treatment. We will look at the with powerful synergistic effect of talk therapy, combined pranayama,(yoga breath work)to alleviate anxiety in the case of Julie, whose anxiety can be understood as a symptom of an attachment disorder We will include a description and instructions for deergha swasam, a type of calming yoga breath.
