II. DATA AND METHODS
Central to our approach is the ability to represent time series using a large and diverse set of their measured properties. In this section, we describe how this representation is constructed and how it forms a basis for classification. In Sec. II-A, the datasets analyzed in this work are introduced. The feature-vector representation of time series is then discussed in Sec. II-B, and the methodology used to perform feature selection and classification is described in Sec. II-C.
