About six months ago, I saw a Korean drama for the first time. It was Summer Scent with Song Seung-heon. He became a favorite actor of mine from the first time I saw him. Of his films, I have seen So Close, A Better Tomorrow, and Ghost. Of his dramas, I have seen Happy Together, Autumn in My Heart, Summer Scent, East of Eden, My Princess, Dr. Jin, and When a Man Falls in Love. Of all these films and dramas, my favorite role of Song Seung-heon’s is Lee Dong-chul in East of Eden. There is something extra special about Song Seung-heon. He is extremely handsome. There is more to him than just good looks, though. There is a combination of strength and softness in him that is very appealing. He is a man of steel and velvet. There is a quiet magnificence about him. When he is acting in films and dramas, he brings his characters alive with tremendous believability and with an energy which reaches beyond the television screen, leaving a great impact on the viewer. He is a treasure. I hope to be able to see all the films and dramas he has been in. I hope he continues to act for many, many years.
