Conclusion
It is true that teachers today are encouraged to use a variety of materials in their classrooms in order to better accommodate the individual needs, interests, and abilities of their students. However, this trend does not negate the value of traditional textbooks. Helping our students learn to use textbooks effectively provides them with a tool for independent learning.
