Leadership for the first such initiative-at Bumside Industrial Park in Nova Scotia--emerged from a multidisciplinary team based at Dalhousie University’s School for Resource and Environmental StudieG. The Baltimore Development Corporation has taken that role in this town’s 1000 acre project, supported initially by an R&D team from Cornell University. In Rotterdam Harbour, a team from Erasmus University and local consultants is supporting 50 major corporations in the INES initiative to create by-product exchanges. The Brownsville Economic Development Corporation has collaborated with Texas Natural Resources Conversation Commission (the state EPA) in creating the EIP there.
