The fabrication of silicon carbide and carbon scaffolds obtained from these plant precursors Entandrophragma
cylindricum, Laminaria ochroleuca and Juncus maritimus consisted on their pyrolysis or thermal decomposition
to obtain the carbon scaffold and the further reactive infiltration of them with molten silicon at 1550ºC to obtain
the silicon carbide scaffolds. Parameters and atmosphere conditions have been optimized depending on the
