effect on the hematology parameters and the non-specific immunity
of tilapia (O. niloticus). The dietary probiotic administration
increased the mean hemoglobin corpuscular content, lysozyme
level, and phagocyte activity of tilapias exposed to a high stocking
density. The results of this study demonstrate that supplementing
the diet of Nile tilapia with the probiotic B. subtilis can be an
effective alternative for ensuring an improved immune response in
fish exposed to stress caused by high stocking densities.
