Fake power tools worth more than 30 million baht were seized by the Department of Special Investigation (DSI) in raids in Bang Kae district of Bangkok. Four raids were conducted on Wednes- day in several locations on Petkasem Road. The DSI officers found 146,173 fake power tools bearing the names of popular brands, Makita and Maktec. The items, worth more than 30 million baht, included carpentry tools and chain saws. The fake tools were produced locally, according to the authorities. The tools were discovered in warehouses in the Khwaeng Lak Song and Kwang Bang Khae Nua areas. They were wrapped in plastic sheets and packed in boxes ready to be distributed to customers, the DSI said.
