Bael tree is found all over the world and is known for its medicinal properties. It is also known as wood apple tree. It is found in most of the Asian countries such as Sri Lanka, Nepal, Pakistan, Vietnam, Myanmar, Bangladesh, Laos, Thailand and Cambodia. Bael tree has its origin that heads right back to the ancient times. It is called as Charaka Samhita in Sanskrit. The tree in general grows for about 8-10 meters in height.It comprises of wide trunk, straight and long branches laden with sweet and romantic leaves. The fruit is woody, hard as well as smooth and enriched with flesh inside. The flesh can be consumed either fresh or dried.
