Dear Host Family,
My name is Panjai Malakul. I am Lookpud’s mother. I have been working at King Power Duty Free for 23 years now. King Power is the largest duty-free retailer in Thailand. Let me introduce my daughter Lookpud by writing this letter to you, but my English is not too good, I hope you would understand. Lookpud was born in 2001 at Siriraj Hospital when I was 34 years old. She started her school life in a school near our home for 9 years (3 years in kindergarten and 6 years in primary school). Then she started her secondary school at Khemasiri Memorial School for girls, which is well known for students being nice and polite. There are 5 members in our home, my husband, my sister, my mother, me and Lookpud, whom is the youngest. Every summer or semester break we always go to the beach, such as Rayong or Hua Hin. We usually drive our car there to take a rest, enjoy eating sea food and lots of swimming. Lookpud has been abroad 3 times, twice to Hong Kong and once to Japan. Lookpud’s hobby is reading. When she was younger, she liked to read the book series “Kob Nok Kala” which is a story about the life in Thailand, for example: Thai Silk, ant eggs and even earthworms. As she grew up, she has come to like the book series “Harry Potter” as she can remember all the magic in the story. Now she likes listening to pop music and her favorite artist is EXO and Black Pink (all are K POP music). Lookpud‘s daily life is waking up at 6 AM and getting dressed, which would take about 20 minutes. After that she would have breakfast and feed her pets. She has 2 hedgehogs. Then she would go to school by bus. She arrives back home at about 6 PM. She would take her bath, wash her school uniform, have dinner with grandmother, clean up and feed her pets, do her homework until 10-11 PM then go to sleep. The most important and sweetest thing is that she would have us parent say goodnight to her everynight, although I get back home very late at night, she would call me to say our goodnights.
This is about all I can explain about my Lookpud. She wants to study abroad because it’s the best way to learn another language. Also, I know that she will surely mature from this experience. It would be challenging, she is ready for this wonderful journey. I also want her to be fluent in a lot of languages. In conclusion, I look forward for Lookpud to becoming a part of your family. And I hope one day I’ll get the chance to meet you and welcome you if you decide to come to visit Thailand. Thank you.
Best regards,
