Reference curves obtained from the bending of test samples on the
universal testing machine were the base of the simulation. Fig. 5
shows the real curve work diagram obtained by means of measurements
(reference curve) and its comparison with the numerical curve
(model curve). This graph represents only one measurement but this
comparison was done for all the compositions using Newton–Raphson
method (Fig. 6). Reference curves served as the information on the material
properties for SolidWorks. The figure proves that the shape of the
simulated curve is almost identical to that one for a real sample, which
confirms the correctness of the model simulation.
In the following section, the behavior of different combinations of
hard (H) and soft (S) materials in layered composition is analyzed.
This analysis is based on the primary results of research [8], where the
behavior of individual soft and hard materials as function of their thickness
was analyzed under the bending stress. Due to very large extent of
the obtained data, only a few evaluation examples are specified.
