I couldn't even protect her. I'm scared. Scared of losing her. She needs someone who can be strong enough to protect her. I'm willing to become strong for her sake, but that would take me years to get to her level. By then, who's to say she's not gonna be taken by her clan? Who's to say she's not going to be dead by then?
I push her away.
"W-why?"
"I...I'm so sorry." I look at her with tears in my eyes. "I made you fall in love with a loser like me. This...this...I can't make you happy."
"Master?"
"Please, for both our sakes, just...find someone better than me." I place a hand on her shoulder in a comforting manner.
Kasumi's head was downcast unto the floor, I couldn't see her eyes, but sounds of her sniffing noise and the teary look on her eyes, I'd say I hurt her pretty bad.
"Supergirl?"
The sounds of my wrist's bones shattering just reached my ears in the span of half a second, the realization of my wrist being twisted in and odd position reached my brain in the span of five seconds.
I don't get it. Did Kasumi break my hand?
I didn't even see her hand move.
"Aargh!" I scream in pain as I stumble a few steps backwards, hitting the edge of the kitchen sink. I grip my hand trying to lessen the stinging pain, but it felt like it had been hit by a sledgehammer.
"Master...you led me on."
